Ajit Varma, director de Square, indicó a The Verge que con la tienda apuntan a concentrar a los pequeños negocios de los EEUU que utilicen el servicio Square.
La tienda funcionará de forma similar a la de sus competidores. Un usuario puede crear una cuenta gratuita y ofrecer sus productos, o bien crear un perfil de su empresa. La comisión por operación será del 2,75% de lo vendido por cada usuario, a diferencia de otras tiendas que cobran tarifas fijas diferenciadas por tipo de productos.
